Little Chick has Lunch on the Moon is the first of a series of Little Bird Children’s Adventure books.

I,ve purchased this book as a gift for a young couple who have just had a child. I think this book absolutely captures the hopes and aspirations any parent has for a child and its a wonderful tool that can be used to inspire your child to go capture their dreams and aspire to be the best they can be. The illustrations are beautiful and will delight any child.
I have to say that its not just for kids, its a very simply demonstrates you can be whoever you want to be or achieve whatever you want achieve if you want it enough.

Dear Alison, I bought this book for our God daughter. She was delighted with the beautiful illustrations but even more so with the words. She is of the age where anything is possible, she now firmly believes that she is going to the moon and will “dance dance dance on the moon” ( her words). This was probably the most wonderful gift I could give her. Thank you xx

Little Bird Products are incredible. The book provides a foundation of unlimited belief and nurtures a mindset of aspiration and achievement. The ceramic wear further compounds these aspects with beautiful imagery taken from Little Chick’s journey which the child associates with thier own dreams . A wonderful introduction to the world of reading and believing in one’s own unlimited power at influential age. An amazing gift for any child .

My son was lucky enough to have listened to one of Alisons speeches and desperately wanted her book (it hadn’t been published at that point). His delight when he received it I have recorded and posted on Alison website. Alison is truly inspirational and so is her book. A fantastic way to show your child they can achieve anything they want to.

The fact it also has a Goal page at the end is fantastic for children to able to put down in words and pictures what they want.
    Strongly recommend this book.

I bought three copies of this delightful book. One each for my two adorable grandchildren, and one for myself. The story of the little chick having lunch on the moon inspires us, and tells us that if you want something enough, it is possible to turn dreams into reality.

I read it myself and found it to be a beautiful story and again made me remember to follow my dreams no matter how silly they may seem.
The boy loves the book and we read it every time I am visiting. Every child needs this book!

I absolutely love this book. It epitomises the developing aspirations and imagination of all of us as very young children; where anything is possible. It shows that this should be encouraged throughout our lives in order that we all aim high and reach our full potential.

A beautiful book, deceptively simple and yet with a very powerful message. The illustrations are stunning and the plate is a tactile echo of the book. You can be whoever you want to be, period. I have given copies to all my special little friends already and am buying a few more for the about to be grandparents.
My dreams were limited as a child- never let that happen to yours.

I bought this book for my fiancé as she is a teacher in a primary school. I am almost 30 and I loved the book. Thought it was really sweet! Illustrations are fantastic. My fiancé absolutely loves the book also, and I’ve heard all the children are absolutely mad for it. Not only fun, but they can learn from it too! Great for kids and adults!

What an incredible book. My nephews and my goddaughter absolutely love it! My youngest nephew comes running up to me every time I see him (with the book in-hand) eager for me to read it to him again. It is simple, yet creative and opens up children’s minds. Giving the younger generations permission to dream is a fantastic thing and something I will certainly continue to explore with them in years to come.

I was wondering how my two sons would react to this book, but I didn’t need to worry – the loved it. One loved the story, the other the space element and together we enjoyed it for several evenings. From the beautiful images to the smooth pages and hidden message, this is a brilliant book and concept. We are slowly looking at short and long term goals and I believe parents and teachers could really benefit from Alison’s idea.

This is a wonderfully written and illustrated book. I bought this book for myself and my husband as a reminder that it is never too late to ‘have lunch on the moon’ and claim our dreams. Dreams have no sell-by date – they just might need re-shaping a bit. The quality of the book is fantastic – the reader can write on the Dream pages at the back and revisit in later years. This is a definite must for children, but I’d also highly recommend for anyone (older) wanting to recapture and achieve their dreams. It’s never too late.

Received this book as a gift for our baby boy and have already started reading it to him. His little face lights up and now loves looking at the pictures. My dreams were limited when I was a child and this will never be the case for our little boy. Can’t wait to fill in the dream page once our little boy is big enough to share his dreams with us. Thank you Alison for such a beautiful book. X

Fantastic book. My son Harry aged 6 loves it. Great for a thought provoking discussion about dreams, goals and aspirations. The “My Dream is…..” Page at the back is a stroke of genius that means this book will be treasured forever.

This book should be mandatory reading for all kids and in every school.
    Thank you Alison x

As a lover of children’s literature, I couldn’t wait to share this book with my class of Year 4 children in school. They immediately seized upon its message of having belief in yourself and placing no boundaries on your dreams. They’ve since asked for it to be read time and time again and used it as a stimulus for wonderfully imaginative writing. A gorgeous gorgeous book with a message we should share with all of our children.

My little chicks loved the story. The theme of the book is something we really encourage at home so the book was thought provoking of their dreams and what they can achieve. Loved the rhyming nature of the book along with the illustrations. I hope there’s a sequal!! So very pleased for you Alison on the success of your book, so very well deserved.

I bought this book for my 6 year old daughter at Christmas. She absolutely loves reading it and loves showing it to her friends. Alison has had a big effect on my daughter and has really inspired her to started thinking about her hopes and dreams. Some are fantasy and some real plans for the future, both are real to her and who am I to disagree!
I absolutely recommend this book for any age as a starting point to discover children’s dreams.

This is a lovely book. My children love to let their minds run free and think of more and more ambitious dreams they could achieve….Alison’s book encourages little chicks to start to think about what they want to and could do with their lives and that nothing is impossible. That’s a great message instil in young minds. Thank you Alison.

I have bought this book for both of my children, one 5 and one 8. The story is great, but the opportunity it creates to talk to your children about their dreams is the truly magical part. Highly recommend for parents, carers, God parents and gifting in general

I work as a classroom assistant in a school with young children. I always aim to promote books and reading at a young age, infused with fun and excitement. Today is of course World Book Day where we read lots of wonderful stories to our children. However, it was clear to see that none of them quite captured the children in the way that ‘Little Chick Has Lunch On The Moon’ did. This book tells a magical story, certainly infused with fun and excitement but also conveying a strong message that anybody really can have lunch on the moon….
I know that all the children (and all of the staff) loved reading your book today Alison, thank you for giving us this wonderful gift xxx

Alison visited my sons school and read the story of the little chick. My son Harry thoroughly enjoyed the story. We were given the opportunity to purchase the book, which we did, however Alison was so impressed with the positive response of all the children that she gave them all a book as a gift.Personally signed by her too. We read the book at home together and have already started filling in the back of the book about Harrys dreams!! Such a lovely story and gives so much opportunity for children to see that they can achieve there dreams. Well done Alison and thank you.

This book is essential in fostering the belief and aspirations of young people – and everyone else for that matter! We are still living in tough economic times, within a media climate that perpetuates fear and divisions, this all stokes a negative mindset within people of – I can’t do that, this is my life and I have to settle for it or don’t try that lad, it’ll never happen – be realistic. I’ve got two daughters and if there is one thing I want for them more than anything it’s that they dream all their lives! The book has a beautifully simple yet very powerful message! I always want them to feel like they could have lunch on the moon!
